About Us
Utica Valley Electric Supply is a family owned and operated business that opened in January of 1977 as a full service Electrical Distributor serving electrical contractors as well as commercial and industrial accounts. A full residential lighting showroom for retail customers was also included in the original location on Commercial Drive. Eight years later in 1985 we moved to a much larger facility that remains our home on West Whitesboro Street in Yorkville. In 1999 the retail showroom was closed in order to fully concentrate our efforts on servicing our contractor, commercial, and industrial customers. When we opened in 1977 we were the 7th Electrical Distributor in the Utica Market. Of those original 7 we are the only one remaining with a local warehouse to serve this market.
Utica Valley Electric has always strived to bring the best inventory and service levels to all of its customers along with offering over 350 years of combined employee experience and expertise in this industry to our valued customers. We hope to continue this relationship with both our valued customers and vendors for many more years in this community.
